There have been a fair few moments in the last four months of my European adventures where I've felt a lump in my throat and the urge to cry. Being on top of the Duomo in Milan was one of those moments. Milan was such an underrated city that I had originally completely disregarded when planning my earlier trips, but a spur of courage and an unmissable opportunity led me to a weekend in this fashion capital. As I stared at the sheer size and detailing of this amazing architecture coupled with the stunning panoramic view of the city in all its ancient and modern glory, I can't help but wonder, "how small am I in this big, big world?"
